Chemically, Aether is dominated by volatile monoterpenes and oxygenated terpenoids including menthol (C₁₀H₂₀O), camphor (C₁₀H₁₆O), 1,8-cineole (C₁₀H₁₈O), limonene (C₁₀H₁₆), terpinen-4-ol (C₁₀H₁₈O) and eugenol (C₁₀H₁₂O₂).
